Kaleyard Cook School offers free or subsidised to different community groups and also teach cookery in various schools across Glasgow.
A variety of masterclasses and pop-up events offer a wide range of international and Scottish cookery classes, as well as workshops on food photography and food writing, baking, cooking skills and new food trends. In development are holiday kids cookery workshops, cookery qualifications and skill programmes.
Kaleyard has two main social aims. First, to help end social isolation by the uniting power of cooking, eating and sharing food together. And second, to inspire children and adults with local, seasonal produce and the love of simple home cooking. As a social enterprise cook school, Kaleyard operates as a business to provide affordable commercial cookery classes and events, but all its profits are re-invested into the provision of classes for children, and socially isolated or disadvantaged people.
