Liège Food Belt

A network of actors at the service of the Liège food transition

The “Liège Food Belt” project aims to federate work forces in the Liège area in order to build a local, high-quality and sustainable food chain. It is a coalition of citizens, economic and cultural actors.

Launched in November 2013, the project laid the foundations for a reflection and an action plan for the local share of food consumed in the Province of Liège and it is growing significantly. Its long-term goal (25 years) is to bring the share of local and healthy products to 50% of the local consumption basket.
